Hi there.... My name is Sonja Benjamin. Showing dogs is something I've wanted to do for as long as I can remember. I've always had a great love for dogs, and other animals, but never knew a love as deep as that of a Great Dane. They are truly a one of a kind breed.
I got my first Great Dane in 1997, shortly after I met and married the love of my life, Jake. We never intended to show Molly and had her spayed young. She was our inspiration to learn about the breed. We got our next Great Dane, Athena, as a puppy in 1999.
 It was shortly after that when we decided where our interest in Great Danes was heading. Through a series of very helpful Dane people/show people we found John & Jessie Gerszewski of Elan Danes and brought home Coda. We were so lucky to have met them... they are truly wonderful people and both are gifted handlers. Coda is our first show dog. Owner handling her has been a real dream come true.
Since then we have done some rescue, more showing and are venturing into the obedience ring as well. Our latest accomplishment is carting. Two of our Danes have their Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog International certifications and visit our local nursing home weekly.
 Early in 2002 we started an all natural biologically appropriate diet for the dogs and are loving the results. Shortly thereafter we stopped vaccinating our dogs.
Later that same year we imported our first all natural Great Dane. A beautiful blue puppy, Phoebe, from Foaldown Great Danes in the UK. You can read about Phoebe and all the other dogs by clicking on the "great danes" link at the top of the page.
